St Jude with St Aidan, Thornton Road, Thornton Heath
Some way west of central Thornton Heath, this building was built in 1927 and designed by W Pite, Son and Fairweather. The hall next door built in 1911 was used as a church until the current church was opened. The west end was never completed as planned.
St John the Baptist, Eden Park Avenue, Eden Park
Backing on to playing fields. Built in 1936 and designed by W Pite, Son and Fairweather. Re-ordering has changed the orientation to southward facing, the chancel is empty and the baptistery is a storage space.
