Holy Redeemer, Churchmore Road/Streatham Vale, Streatham
A church of 1931-32 by Martin Travers and T.F.W. Grant. The church was taken out of use in 2007 and worship transferred to the nearby church hall. In recent years there has been some work done on the church and it is now used again from April to October. The hall behind dates from 1928 and is by Sir Charles Nicholson and is used in the colder months. A contemporary vicarage stands between the hall and church. Currently the chancel is screened off and used for storage, it contains the original choir stalls and communion table. The foundation stone has been graffitied so I include a clean shot from 2015.
