St Luke, Redcliffe Square, Kensington

Built like several other churches in the area by George and Henry Godwin in 1872-73.

St Augustine, Queens Gate, South Kensington

One of William Butterfield’s classic high Victorian designs. Built 1870-77, the striking interior decoration was largely reinstated in 1975, having been whitwashed over. The huge reredos is by Martin Travers from 1928 as are the Stations of the Cross.
