All Saints (former), Tytherton Road, Tufnell Park

Built in 1884-85, designed by J.E.K. Cutts, but made redundant in 1994 and now converted into flats.

Emmanuel, Hornsey Road, Upper Holloway

The south aisle of a church of 1884 by F.R. Farrow and E. Swinfen Harris is connected to a new building of 1988 by Keith Harris and associates. Much of the old church is used as kitchens, storage etc, with just the apsidal western chapel in use as a day chapel (lower 5 rows of images). Church website

St Joseph and St Padarn, Salterton Road, Holloway (The Society of St Pius X)

Built in 1873 as a Welsh Anglican church but since 1982 owned by the breakaway Catholic group The Society of St Pius X.

St Gabriel, Holloway Road, Upper Holloway (Roman Catholic)

Designed by Gerard Goalen 1966-68. The blank wall towards the road is to cut out traffic noise from the busy Holloway Road.

St John, Holloway Road, Upper Holloway

Built 1826-28, a commissioner’s church designed by Charles Barry.

St Peter (former), Dartmouth Park Hill, Upper Holloway

Designed by C.L. Luck and built in 1879-80. It is now converted into housing.

St Andrew, Whitehall Park, Upper Holloway

Just south of the Archway Bridge, it is by Frederick Hammond and dates from 1894-95. The western three bays of the nave have been converted into a hall with the aisles partitioned off for toilets, kitchen etc. The eastern bays, transepts and chancel are now used as the worship area.

St Mary and St Stephen, Ashley Road, Hornsey Rise

By A.D. Gough, from 1861, the tower and spire were added in 1868 and porches and transept aisles were added 1883-1884

 

St Saviour, Hanley Road, Upper Holloway

The nave dates from 1887-88 and the chancel from 1890, it was designed by J.E.K and J.P. Cutts. Inside the chancel has been altered to form a stage for a praise band and the altar and reredos of 1910 are largely hidden behind a curtain.

St Mark with St Anne, Tollington Park

One of several churches in the area by A.D.Gough and built 1853-54. The aisles were rebuilt in 1884 by F.R.Farrow.
