All Saints, Franciscan Road, Tooting
At the top of a hill , this is the church for the Totterdown estate. It sits in a spacious area of green and is a large church of 1904-06 by Temple Moore. The chancel has a number of furnishings collected by the first incumbent and disliked by Moore, so they were fitted by Sir Walter Tapper.

St Nicholas, Church Lane, Tooting
Tooting parish church, close to St Boniface, it sits in a large churchyard. The building is of 1833 by T.W. Atkinson. A chancel was added in 1873-75 and transepts in 1889, both by J.P. St Aybyn. The interior has been subdivided and the chancel, transepts and east end of the nave form the worship space, the rest is hall and offices. There are a few monuments from the older parish church that this building replaced.

St Boniface, Mitcham Road, Tooting (Roman Catholic)
A landmark just outside Tooting town centre. The church was designed in 1907 by Benedict Williamson, the west front and campanile were added by J. H. Beart Foss in 1927 using Williamson’s designs. The huge mosaic Stations of the Cross are an unusual feature.

On a street corner, this is a building complex of 1988 by Solway Brown Partnership.

St James, Mitcham Lane, West Streatham
Built 1910 by F. Peck, with the chancel added in 1914-15. The narthex by the K.C. White Partnership was added in 1970. The war memorial arranged by streets, now on the east front is an unusual feature.

St Thomas a Becket, West Hill, Wandsworth (Roman Catholic)
A prominent sight near the top of West Hill. The church dates from 1893-95, with the chancel and Lady chapel added in 1897-99, the south aisle and porch in 1901, transepts 1912 and tower 1926-27

St Stephen, Manfred Road, East Putney
A small church of 1981 by Melluish and Anderson, in hidden cul-de-sac off Manfred Road. It replaced a 19th century church. During the week the site is a nursery.

St Joseph, Roehampton Lane, Roehampton (Roman Catholic)
A short way north of the Anglican Holy Trinity, this is a church of 1881 by F.A. Walters, with an extension at the east end of 1958 and a presbytery, porch and baptistery added in 1963 by Tomei and Maxwell. A major reordering moved the sanctuary to under the crossing while a new hall was added to the south between 1998 and 2000.

Holy Trinity, Roehampton Lane, Roehampton.
Above the road and behind a school on a corner of Putney Heath. This is a large church of 1896-98 by G.H. Fellowes Prynne featuring one of his large stone screens filling the entire chancel arch.
