St Mary Magdalene, Paradise Road, Richmond
Hidden away behind shops in the town centre. The tower dates from around 1507 but was encased in flint and stone in 1903-04 when G.F. Bodley added a chancel and eastern chapels to a classical nave and aisles of 1750. There are many wall monuments and much glass by Burlison and Grylls, Bodley’s favoured firm. The church is undergoing a long-term restoration.

Behind the town centre, a church of 1822-24, attributed to Philip Hardwick to which F.A. Walters added a chancel, tower and presbytery in 1903.

St John the Divine, Kew Road, Richmond
Near Richmond Station. The main body of the church is by Lewis Vulliamy and dates from 1831-36. A chancel and south chapel were added in 1904-05 by Arthur Grove. This extension contains some significant arts and crafts fittings and decoration.

Holy Trinity, Townshend Road, Richmond
Hidden away below Sheen Road, this is a reordered church of 1870 by Raphael Brandon. The west end has been divided off as offices and meeting rooms but the ceiling is glass in the main lounge area so the upper interior can still be seen. A tower added in 1880 was demolished around 1970.

Designed by F.G. Broadbent and built in 1953-54, with a western extension in 1963.

A red brick exterior of 1928-29 by Edward A. Swan hides an interior (not photographed) that is a rebuilt 16th century barn from Woodhall farm at Oxted in Surrey.

Christ Church (former), Kew Road, Richmond
Built in 1883 by Arthur Blomfield, it closed in 1984 and was declared redundant in 1986 and converted to flats in 1989.

Our Lady of Loreto and St Winifride, Leybourne Park. Kew (Roman Catholic)
Close to Kew Gardens station, this is an imposing classical design of 1906 by Scoles and Raymond with aisles added in 1967-68 by Walters & Kerr Bate, the interior is rather bare.

St Luke, The Avenue, Kew
Down a suburban street, this large church is now divided up, the nave being a community centre and only the chancel and its aisles being in use as a small church. It is by Goldie, Child & Goldie and dates from 1888, the division came in 1980. Glass from the converted areas is now displayed in light boxes at the entrance to the worship area.

St Anne, Kew Green, Kew
This church originated as a small chapel of 1710-1714, it was lengthened and a north aisle added in 1768 by J.J. Kirby. The west front and south aisle came in 1805, designed by Robert Browne. A mausoleum by Benjamin Ferrey was added east of the east end in 1850-51. In 1884 the current east end was added and the south aisle rebuilt by Henry Stock.
