St Mathias, Rushgrove Avenue, Colindale

The original church fronting the street dates from 1934 and is now used as the church hall. Behind it sits the current church of 1973 designed by R.W. Hurst

   
   
   
   
    
   
   
   
   
 

All Saints, Durham Road, East Finchley

A large church off Fortis Green, designed by J.E.K and J.P. Cutts and built in 1892, with the chancel and apse added in 1912. The interior has been subdivided with the westernmost bays, divided off by the former rood screen, to form hall, toilet  and kitchen areas. The church has several modern furnishings such as the figure of St Cecilia with a viol  by Susanne Küster, the Golden Madonna by Beryl Dean and St Francis of Assisi by Naomi Blake.

   
   
   
         
   
   
   
   
    
   
   
   
     
   
 

Holy Trinity, Church Road, East Finchley

In a quiet street away from main roads. The church was built in 1845-46 by Anthony Salvin with a south aisle added in 1860 and a north aisle in 1866.

     
   
 

St Mary, High Road, East Finchley (Roman Catholic)

The church replaced a WW2 damaged church and was built by  Westmore and Sanders in collaboration with Mrs G. M. Reeves in 1953.

      
 
   
 

Christ Church, High Road, North Finchley

Facing the High road, just south of the centre of North Finchley. It is a large church by J. Norton of 1867-69. The north aisle was added in 1874, the south in 1880 and the east end in 1891.

St Alban, Nether Street, North Finchley (Roman Catholic)

A short way south of the High Road, it was built in 1909 by Percy A. Lamb and it has been extended several times since.

St Cyril of Turau and All the Patron Saints, Holden Avenue, Woodside Park (Belarusian Catholic Mission of Byzantine rite)

Built 2015-2016 in the grounds of Marian House and designed by Spheron Architects. This small wooden church is a memorial to the Chernobyl Nuclear disaster.

   
   
           
   
   
   
   

St Barnabas (Former), Holden Road, Woodside Park

A typical large J.S. Alder church of 1912-14. The interior has been split with the west end converted to offices and rooms. A western balcony was built over them facing into the church. The photos below were taken with the church set up for a toddler group, rather than worship. In late 2018 the church moved to a former office block, Solar House,  on North Finchley High Road and this building is being (March 2020)  converted to housing (see lowest images).

Oakleigh Community Church, Oakleigh Road North, Whetstone

A church plant from St Barnabas, Woodside Park but now an independent congregation. The building is a small hall not far down the road from All Saints. St Stephen, Bells Hill, Barnet

South-west of Barnet town centre, a small mission church of 1896.
