St Edward the Confessor, Finchley Road, Golders Green (Roman Catholic)

A prominent church north of the town centre, it dates from 1915 and was designed by Arthur Young

Our Lady of Dolours, Egerton Gardens, Hendon (Roman Catholic)

Built in 1863 and designed by Gilbert Blount, in 1927 its orientation was reversed and a new chancel and transepts built to designs by T.H.B. Scott.

St John, Algernon Road, West Hendon

Overlooking the Midland main Line just south of Hendon Station. The church is an early work by Temple Moore dating from 1895-96

Sacred Heart and Mary Immaculate, Flower Lane, Mill Hill (Roman catholic)

Just over the road from the Anglican church, this one dates from 1996 and is by S.G. Crawford of PRC Partnership. It replaced a church of 1923.

St Michael and All Angels, Flower Lane, Mill Hill

Overlooking Mill Hill Broadway nt far from the station. The design is of 1911 by W.D. Caroe but was not executed until 1921-22 under Herbert Passmore’s supervision. It was extended eastwards in 1932 and 1938 and finally the west end and Lady Chapel were built in 1956 to a modified design of Alban Caroe.

John Keble Church, Deans Lane, Mill Hill

Prominently sited above the road, it was designed in 1936 by D.F. Martin-Smith and is regarded as one of the most interesting inter-war churches in London.

St Jude, Hampstead Garden Suburb

A centrepiece of the suburb, dating from 1909-11 and designed by Edwin Lutyens. The interior decoration is by Walter Starmer and was added 1919-1930.

St Peter le Poer, Friern Barnet

From 1909-1910 by Caroe and Passmore. The font and pulpit came from the demolished city church of the same name.

A small norman village church to which a neo norman brick tower was added in 1829 By R. Kelsey and a south aisle in 1868 designed by A.R. Baker.

St Mary, Monken Hadley

A medieval church datable to 1494 for much of its structure. Its is near the edge of the large rural area of Monken Hadley Common.
