A rather grim looking church of 1981 hidden in a corner of the churchyard of a demolished late nineteenth century church.

What a terrible replacement of the old St Mary’s Church. I was married in the old St Mary’s in 1970. My grandmother and my parents were married there. I was also Christened there. Also I went to Brownies and Guides and have very happy memories.

Looking at the pictures of the newer Church I would say it seems very bleak and uninviting.

Progress I suppose but not always better.
