St James, St James Avenue West Ealing now St Mary’s Cathedral (Assyrian Church of the East)
Just south of Uxbridge Road. It dates from 1903-09 and was designed by W.Pywell. It closed in 1984, was reopened as a plant from St John’s in 1990 but closed again in about 2017. It 2025 it was bought by the Assyrian Church of the East who had a small Cathedral in nearby Hanwell. That has now closed to be replaced by this building. Inside the orienation has been reveresed with screened off altar at the west end and the chancel area now just a raised area at the east end. The first set of images is of the church now and the second as an Anglican church in 2014.

All Saints, Elm Grove Road, Ealing
In quiet suburbia at the southern end of Ealing Common. It is a memorial to Spencer Perceval the only assassinated British Prime Minister (1812). It was paid for by his youngest daughter and built in 1903-05. The architect was W.A. Pite.












































































St Barnabas, Shacklewell Row, Dalston
One of Charles Reilly’s few buildings – this church dates from 1909-11. The screen was added in 1935 to designs by Tyson Smith. It is part of an east end mission created by Merchant Taylor’s School and lies hidden behind the school house. Both have been brought back into use by an evangelical plant who have restored the school, the church is little changed.

St Mary Abbots, Kensington
Replacing the old church, a large building of 1868-72 by George Gilbert Scott, the tower and spire added 1872-79. The church was bombed in WW2 and received a new ceiling by Romilly Craze in 1955, much of the glass by Clayton & Bell survived although the backgrounds in the aisles and clerestory have been removed.
