St Mark, Albert Road, South Norwood
South of the railway on a sharp street corner, the church is from 1852 and was designed by G.H. Lewis. Aisles and the chancel were additions to the small original church. The baptistry with its wall paintings and elaborate font cover is notable.

Side on to the road this is one of G.F. Bodley’s lesser-known churches. It dates from 1894-1895.
Christ Church, Sumner Road, Croydon
A short way north of the town centre. The original church of 1851-1852 by S.S. Teulon, having closed in 1978 was badly damaged by fire in 1985 leaving the west end of the nave to be incorporated in a new building of 1991 by Maurice Taylor. The old church section is now a hall and the newer section, the worship area.

St Andrew, Southbridge Road, Croydon
South of the town centre, this is a church designed by Benjamin Ferrey in 1857 and extended several times. Inside the west end of the nave has been stepped and filled with tiered seating. The chancel is screened off as a hall area and the east end of the south aisle is now a lounge area. There are several Ninian Comper windows.

A mile south of the station. This is a church of 1908 designed by W.S. Weatherley

In a residential area south of Norbury station. The chancel and eastern part of the nave date from 1900 (architect unknown), the western parts were added in 1929-1935 by Caroe and Passmore. A new entrance was cut into a bay of the south aisle in 1995, displacing two windows to the wooden porch area in the church.

In a side street near the station. The church dates from 1970 and is by Broadbent, Hastings, Reid and Todd.

Some way west of central Thornton Heath, this building was built in 1927 and designed by W Pite, Son and Fairweather. The hall next door built in 1911 was used as a church until the current church was opened. The west end was never completed as planned.
