Built 1973-76 to replace a war damaged church, now a Montessori nursery just outside the south eastern (St Mark’s) gates of Victoria Park.

    I see that The east london Group (artists) have a picture painted of the original building that was apperently destroyed by enemy bombing in the 1940s. they have displayed it via their twitter Account.

    “St Mark’s Church” by Harold Steggles from 1934.
