All Saints, Long Lane, Hillingdon
Contemporary with the huge amount of 1930s suburbia in this area of North Hillingdon. The church dates from 1932 and was designed by Sir Charles Nicholson. The interiors are from late 2023, and the exteriors are from 2014 as it was too dull and damp to add new exteriors on my last visit.

St John the Baptist, Uxbridge Road, Hillingdon
On top of Hillingdon Hill and unlike most churches in the area very much open. The tower is from 1629 and the nave and aisles are 14th-century but the chancel and transepts are from 1847-48 by George Gilbert Scott.

St Laurence, Cowley
A small village church east of the main road to Uxbridge and not far from fields. The church is 12th century with a 13th century chancel, all restored in 1897. Inside there is an unusual two level gallery and an openwork wooden structure where the chancel arch would normally be.

St Jerome, Judge Heath Lane, West Hayes (Dawley)
North west of Hayes a church of 1933 by J. Harold Gibbons. The tower forms an arch linking the church and its halls.

St Anselm, Station Road, Hayes
In the centre of Hayes’ shopping area. A church of 1926-28 by Hubert C. Corlette. The ceiling decoration is by McKenzie Gill, brother of the notorious Eric.

St Paul, Hook Road, Hook
On the main road north of the shopping area. It is by Carpenter and Ingelow and dates from 1881-83.
