The Church of Scotland’s premier London church opened in 1955, but begun in 1950, it was designed by Edward Maufe. It replaced a 19th-century church that was badly damaged by wartime bombing. The church is on the first floor and is impressively lofty. There is a memorial chapel to the London Scottish Regiment to the left of the sanctuary.
