I’ve visited this Church on-and-off since the late ’70’s. Towner must have been a modest man , as there’s no reference in the building to him anywhere. Perhaps someone can tell me if it’s so in the other churches he designed , too ? Thank you.
There is a selected list on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Bingham_Towner. Here is a link to his churches on this site: https://londonchurchbuildings.com/?s=towner&submit=
Thanks for your interest.
His name , I mean , and his firm’s name , as is often seen on stones on all sorts of buildings , ( such as the Architect’s name on the Datestone next to St. Michael’s , from 1955 ) , doesn’t appear anywhere. I wondered if it was the same in all his churches ?
Thank you.
I meant , just now , on the ” Datestone “, next to St. Michael’s ,on the former Barclays Bank , as the example referred to.
Thank you
